Default help! my cactus is dieing.

The so called "Moon Cactus" (not mini cactus) is an albino globular red
Gymnocalycium grafted onto the stock of the tropical Hylocereus undatus. The
two are only barely compatable and the death of one or the other is only a
matter of time.

Watering it twice a week is definitely going to make mush out of a cactus.
Especially if you are doing it during the winter resting season.

No, the grafted Gymno will not grow back after it is dead. The Hylocereus
stock will now start putting out long branches and begin to behave like the
weed it really is.

om...
I got a mini cactus a few months ago the one with the three green fins
and toped up with a red prickly ball shaped thing ...hehe!

Anyways the top ball shaped thing started turning brown and know it's
all dead looking, some people told me that it's because i watered it
too mush but I'm not sure if once or twice a week is really too mush?

Today i ripped the ball thingy off completely and i was wondering if
another one would eventually grow back to replace it???
