I didn't believe what I saw on a TV program about allotments a day or two
ago.

The program was based in Birmingham. Part of it showed the local council's
allotments officer taking possession of a single stray cannabis plant. When
he reported it to the police they responded, immediately, by sending a rapid
response team.

There are a lot of elderly people around where I live (in Birmingham). When
the local hoodies are terrorising them the best the police can manage is to
send someone in a few days - if they bother sending anyone at all.
