Yep, just lke having ducks, geese etc in a pond you can tell with the
droppings especially around the edges as that water will get green
quick., and from what I found out accumulations of it adds to algae as
well as pathogens, which lead to all kinds of problems in fish. On

Other than dirt and
sand from the roof, I don't think the water will contain anything else
harmful
