I know it is a daft question but are sugar snap peas OK to eat
raw? My husband

asked and I
couldn't answer.

Kath

Various sites say yes :~)
Never actually tried it myself, but now I know I will :~)

Yes, they are delicious raw, in salads, for example.

Or very lightly cooked in a wok, with a handful of sesame
seeds and some fresh coriander!

I've never grown these, are they easy, does anyone know?

Grow just like any other pea. They are quite good treated as a second
early pea. Read the packet info - some varieties are quite tall. I
prefer them to mangetout, you can pick and cook them whole until the
peas are fully developed but still tender. You still have a short
period after that when the peas are OK but the pods are stringy so you
can pod them but they are a bit harder to pod than ordinary peas.
