Default amaryllis did i kill it?

thanks everyone for their input. i cut off the leaves and have decided i
will just try to keep the bulb growing and how it recovers on it's own.
they are only bulblets so i don't expect blooms for a few years.

i do expect it will survive since the bulb was still firm and not soft
like when you bake an onion or garlic.

I'll do the same with my Amaryllis bulbs this year, there is so much
conflicting advice regarding keeping them over the summer, none of
which have worked for me. All I have managed to get the following year
are leaves and no flowers.

I never let my Amaryllis die off, just kept watering and feeding them,
they always produced new flowers every year, they do not need to go
dormant, just feed and water all year. Always worth continuing even if
it seems to have died, check the bulb, if it is firm it should be OK
