In just over year, I bet I've had about 300 "spam" e-mails, most of
which (IMO) have come from non-Usenet sources. There are only about
a hundred people on usenet, anyway, so it's not a prime resource
for e-mail address "harvesting".

100 people on Usenet? I should have thought there were more than that using
this newsgroup alone.
Thanks to mail washer I no longer have a problem with Spam and if people
want to waste their time sending it I don't care
