Hello,
I moved to this house last year and I found that there is a camellia in
the garden which doesn't have any flower. I asked from a neighbor and found
that after the previous owner moved it from front garden to back garden, it
stops flowering. What is the problem and how I can fix it? It has green
leaves and everything seems ok with it but no flower!
Regards
Time will fix it. When a camellia is moved, it may sulk for a year or
two before getting back into a flowering rythm.
Mulch it well with peat or other coarse acid compost such as well
rotted pine needles. Keep it watered during the summer (say once a
week, one large watering-can full, twice in really hot weather). Feed
it several times between now and early July with ericaceous feed as
per instructions on the package. In July, give it a couple of feeds
with a high-potash fertiliser such as tomato feed. This will encourage
the flower buds to set in early autumn, for next year's flowers.
