Default Robinia pseudacacia frisia - green not yellow

"dlrodgers" wrote via the GB portal

I have one of these trees which is about 5ft high and the leaves each
year are green and not yellow. Have I been sold a dummy or do I have to
wait a few more years?

I have had one previously at a different house which was yellow from
the start. Does anyone have any ideas?

It's the normal R.pseudoacacia which will grow bigger than "Frisia" and
flower beautifully each late spring, or if you are really luck it's
"Tortuosa" which will also flower annually, does it look a bit twisted and
contorted?
Personally both are better looking than that anaemic yellow looking thing
you thought you bought. :-)

May be the graft didn't take and the ordinary stock has grown instead.
