when, oh when will these little buds ever open? LOL
My New Dawn is covered in buds and i am just on the edge of my seat
waiting for opening night!!

I have a New Dawn. It took about 3 years for
it to get to the point where blooms seemed to
just take over the bush. I don't recall how
long it takes for the flowers to mature from
bud to bloom, though. But it can be
spectacular. It sounds like you have a treat
in store.

I'm very excited. I planted them last year and I was worried when I only had
about 3 vines on each plant. But they have grown to about 10 feet and have
so many branches coming off those original vines and then those branched
off, etc! SO there is a TON of new growth this year and it is just covered
in buds. I think they started about 1-2 weeks ago and while there are a ton
of tiny new buds there are some big hefty ones that must be near maturity.

I am very pleased because it is my first attempt and these were cheap plants
from Home Depot. I had read about different roses, own-root roses, lots of
posts on here and I new it was a gampble doing it the way I did. I was
hoping that a beginner like myself would at least have *hope* if I found New
Dawn LOL

If I did it again I would've gotten 2 different varieties to cover the
trellis rather than 2 of the same (and I probably only needed 1)
