Garlic After the Foliage Fall

When the scapes (flowers & seed pods) formed, did you cut them off?
I didn't get any scapes on my garlic this year, just nice blades of
foliage. I did, however, grow some sweetpeas in close to the garlic,
which may have zapped some of the soil's nutrients and robbed a bit of
sunlight. Next year, the garlic gets the entire bed by itself.
Time to harvest some garlic (even if they are a bit puny).
