Absolutely true. Voles are much more like mice or rats that moles.

Hello all,
I know that not everyone here will agree with my statement due to lack of
knowledge but Moles do not eat plants. VOLES eat plants. Moles are
Insectivores. their main diet is soil dwelling organisms such as grubs,
earthworms, and insect larva. If moles are just making tunnels in your
lawn
which looks unsightly to you, get over it! Those moles are eating Japanese
beetle larva and other far worse pests that would otherwise kill your
grass
and once hatched defoliate your roses.
But, if indeed your problem is that plants are disappearing. Then you need
to lay the blame on the Vole or even gopher. These two are Herbivores and
as
such like nothing better than to suck down your tender plant roots and
bulbs.. Smitty
