Central Texas frequently endures drought conditions that significantly
increase the possibility of severe wildfires. Attend this informal
seminar
sponsored by the Texas Forest Service and Travis County Extension Service on
how
to protect homes, property and yourself from wildfires.
Jan Fulkerson from the Texas Forest Service Wildfire Preparedness Program
will discuss simple measures residents can take to create defensible space
around their property. Jan will provide information on small details that
can
make a big difference. Learn about landscaping, maintenance, design and
survivability. A Firewise Specialist from the Travis County Master
Gardeners
Association will assist her.
