Default Pay to receive spam in US!

No, I was wrong - cell phone users *are* charged for both incoming &
outgoing calls in the US - though probably cheaper overall than British
charges.

Unlikely. It costs more to call from one side of america to the other
than it does to call from britain to america.

But what over distances comparable to calls within Britain?

What I am saying is

If you want to phone someone in San Francisco, it is cheaper to pick up a
phone in London to call them than it is to pick up a phone in New York to
make the call.
