Hi

I shall be planting ~ 20 one year semi-dwarfing apple trees on MM106
rootstock this winter.

The site is quite exposed to winds, so its essential the trees are well
staked. Any suggestions as to what size (height & diameter) stakes I
should use, and how far into the ground they should go ?

all advice much appreciated.

When planting trees here, we usually stake them by putting in a short stake
at an angle to the stem and probably about 2' up it.
