Hi - new to this forum - just needed some advice please. Live in
Suffolk, Have a flower bed that is constantly in shade, day in day out
- full time. Due to our fence, would like some suggestions on
plants/shrubs that will be happy there and possibly any flowering
plants - finding it hard to have any success. Thanks for your replies!

Vincas would be fine and there's a very pretty small flowered, small leafed
one called V. minor flore pleno. Hellebores would take the shade and had
you thought of Sarcococca which blooms in winter with the most fabulous
scent? And there is urg's own FAQ
http://home.clara.net/tmac/urgring/faqshade.htm
BTW, if you subscribe direct to uk.rec.gardening, you will get a lot more
good advice and input. Garden Banter merely takes the posts from urg and
reproduces them, without permission, so that they can sell you things on a
commercial web site. URG is non-commercial and is peopled with novice,
intermediate and extremely experienced gardeners, some of whom are
professionals but most of whom are amateurs. HTH.
