Hi Kumar,
I don't know what zone you're in, but there are a lot of good companion
plants for roses that meet your criteria. Hardy geranium, mexican heather,
a huge variety of sages, the Wave petunias, lavender, rosemary, and alyssum
immediately come to mind. There are many more. Some spreading plants have a
tendency to attract spider mites in certain areas, though. Verbena is a bad
choice here, for example. If you could tell us your zone, some people here
would be able to make specific recommendations for your climate.
