I think you will find that the 12 inch model was the Bantam, we had one
in
the early 60's and the best part of it was the cutter bar you could get
for
it, great on long grass.

I never saw a Howard with a cutter bar though a lot of machines usually sold
as 2 wheel tractors had them - in fact many still do. A lot to be said for
that kind of cutter especially for wildflower meadows etc. I've been stuck
in corners at the bottom of banks too many times with Allen Scythes - but
that's another story and thankfully well in the past ;~)))
