Default What to grow in crap half of veg plot

I am a newbie to veggies. : /

OK I have dug and dug half of my veg plot until it looks so much like
breadcrumbs that I am tempted to bake it in the oven at gasmark 4 and make
scones.

So anyway, that's sorted for my beans but now I'm WAY to knackered to do the
same for the rest of the plot, so what can I grow in it that will just
require basic digging over and no compost? I suppose it's about 10 feet by
8 feet.

Advice welcome as I am a complete veg buffoon and bored of digging already.

Thanks,
ROSIE

.......Rosie..because of age and infirmity I can no longer dig my allotment
but I Weedol it, and plant top stuff plus what I grow in small
pots in the greenhouse. In my local supermarket begins with an
L and from Germany a tin of pots is 15p buuter beans 19p red
kidney beans llp peas 14p other beans 9p tinned plums 9p Each can
serves two. This is how we eat.No waste.Cheap veggies aLSO from
boot sales.£3 for 25kg taters e.g. and cheap fruit. My calculation
is less than £200 for two.p.a.Years ago I used to grow taters
under a black tarpaulin .All the rage then.Slice cross in tarp.
and taters grow on top of ground and under tarp.PS you are not a
bu. You've had a go.Good luck.....Ken.
