Hi

I've inherited a nice old greenhouse from my neighbour, cedarwood frame &
10' x 8'.

I was planning on siting it on a concrete frame base & I've removed the box
rectangle of turf & dug down about 2".

Question is, how deep should the foundations for the base be. Bearing in
mind it will only need to hold the weight of the greenhouse & keep the
timber off the earth.

I was thinking about 2" of crushed hardcore & then 2" of concrete so in the
end the base is about 1" off ground level & about 12" wide.

Any recommendations?
