Default Gifts

Look at the long handled version, on the same web page. Item S16245. Long
handle garden knife.

To JoeSpareBedroom:
Looked up your link and saw this message:
"We are sorry, the short-handled garden knife has been discontinued. We
apologize for the inconvenience".
For about the same price, you may get a Weed Twister from Ergonica with
sharpened tines that works great for weeds and also makes a good
defense weapon. Makes a great Trail Buddy for a walking staff, path
clearance, poison ivy mover, and defense weapon to keep predatory
animals (including 2-legged critters) at a distance. You can also use
it to mark your trail in case your in unfamiliar territory.
Can you do all that with your knife?

Can anybody suggest a good gardening gift? Or a company I could have
a
look into?

How far do you live from the recipient? Same town?

No I quite quite some distance.

Eh? Anyway, get your friend one of these. It's the single most useful
garden tool in the universe.

What makes it work is its shape and its thickness. Nothing to do with
sharpness. If I caught someone stealing my lawnmower, I'd let them take
it.
If I caught someone stealing this tool, I'd hack their head off with the
tool and send it home to their mommy in a lawn and leaf bag. It's that
good
a tool.
