It varies. If the temperatures go up real gradual you may not see much of a
spawn at all. So far I've seen vigorous spawning when the temperatures all
of a sudden jumps real high, like 20 degrees from one day to the next (60F
to 80F air temp) and I've also seen spawning when I toss a bunch of water
hyacinths in about June. ~ jan (Zone 7)
