The best arguement I know of for bottom posting is that it makes sense
as you read the whole thing. In particular, newsreaders for blind
people read from the top down, so having the last contribution come
last improves thier contribution, where they don't have visual
read-ahead cues to go by.

I think the majority of urglers bottom post and it was certainly the
preferred - as in almost 'insisted upon' - method when I joined the group.
IMO, it makes a lot more sense than top posting because you don't reply to a
post before it's read! Some urglers either don't respond to top posting
because it's illogical and/or because they can't be faffed to correct it
before responding.
