You don't drink with the lads, absolutely disgraceful, I thought all mature
women had a pint or two at their local!

Not brought up the way I was, they don't! My stepfather was born in 1900 and
had views accordingly. Not only was I strictly forbidden to walk into a pub
on my own *ever* - to this day I find it horribly difficult to do. And his
views on women drinking beer - well! I don't think I ever confessed to
liking the odd half pint of bitter or lager on a hot summer's day. ;-)
