Default Centipede seeded over Bermuda?

Over seeding bermuda with centipede usually works fine in full sun, but
you may have a lot of St Augustine growth when you water to get the
centipede established.

Bermuda survives with less water than either centipede or St Augustine.
Centipede needs less water and mowing than St Augustine, but because the
St Augustine grows faster, and better in shade it may run over the
centipede. Just my experience in Ga.

It is about 1/3 bermuda right now, the rest St. Aug. I think bermuda
got in there by accident.

Would it be possible to verticut the lawn and overseed centipede over
the bermuda? Or is bermuda just too darned agressive for this to work?
