This month's Which magazine (which incidentally is miles better than a
year or so ago, it has definitely gone back to its roots of a gardening
version of Which)

anyway, this month's magazine says that J Arthur Bowers multi purpose
compost is the best for raising seeds. I've looked in several places and
the price seems to be a general 3.99 for 70 litres.

that is an excellent price for seed raising mix. It equates to $12 here for
70 L. 40-45 L lays me back around $20 from memory so at our prices you would
be paying about 10-11 pounds.
