Default for South Africa travelling gardeners

A must visit place in South Africa is Soekershof Walkabout. See their
stunning website: http://www.soekershof.com
This privately owned non-subsidised enterprise consists of mazes and
gardens.
For the garden lover the succulent gardens are unique with more than
2400 different succulents, including cacti, from all over the world
in
the OPEN SKY (and not under cover of a roof or shade net like
nurseries and some botanical gardens).
And what's mo no fertiliser or chemicals are used in the
cultivation of these plants and irrigation (mainly manual) only takes
place in order to prevent the plants from shrinking. Resulting in a
wonderful garden with healthy plants.

For R 40.00 per person a guided tour in the garden is included. Very
educational but not the dry theoretical stuff but real passion for
plants.

The website also links to accommodation nearby in all price classes
and provides detailed road directions from Cape Town (2 hrs touristic
driving)
