I have found him to be obnoxious, a liar, cheat, criminal and fraud
who is very keen that his details should be removed from official
offices, and also keen to avoid ID cards. I wonder why? Is the answer
here.........

Perhaps he has got a bit fed-up with the carping on
Usenet?

Considering Mabbett is usually the cause of much carping on usenet,
that's ironic!

Although to his credit these days, he is only 10% as obnoxious and
creepy as he used to be. He has been taught very hard lessons along
the way.

All I can say is that it may be someone pretending to be him. IIRC,
someone pretended to be dear old Alan Holmes some time ago and said all
manner or dreadful things. I was accused by someone (no-one here) of
sending a profane email to them and have never sent a profane email in
my life, so it may not be Andy. Having said that, I think it was Sacha
who posted how to tell the author of a posting but I have lost that.

Interestingly, the poster you are now replying to has in the past
often adopted names of people he/she/it dislikes on newsgroups. This
poster may however not even be a person, but an automated response bot
with sophisticated, state-of-the-art software. The current name
corresponds to the very first one he/she/it used, though all those
posts have now been removed from the GOOGLE archive. This is
presumably a futile attempt to try and escape police questioning
concerning A/R terrorism that his/her/its friends have been involved
in recently.

Seem to have touched a nerve there Mabbett? Never mind, you might get
over it.

Andy is little more that a one line repeater.

A single shot cap gun with damp caps.

Mind you, I've heard he's good at sewing stockings, so there's always
some good in the worst of us :-)

First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
