Ah learnt it as "soda water" when I moved to Texas and worked and Inner
Space Caverns in the vending area. :-)

My similar experience working at the Dairy Quinn in Taylor 1970 was,

"I wont a 15 cents soda water, please"
"What kind of soda water?'
"A 15 cents one"

This was in... lessee. 24 years ago would be 1982.

I thought they wanted something like Club Soda. :-)
