Default pulled back muscle

I pulled a muscle in my lower back. It's not the first time, either. *sigh*
Does anyone have some advice for me?

1. for now, take it easy, but don't rest too much. Use a heating pad.
2. Your doctor can give you some back strengthening exercises.
3. Next winter, make sure you get yourself in shape long before spring comes.
keep exercising in January and February. Don't wait until March.
4. Do as I say, not as I did.
