Default Wildflower Center Spring Plant Sale and Gardening Festival 4/13 & 4/14

The Spring Plant Sale and Gardening Festival at the Lady Bird Johnson
Wildflower Center is on April 13 and April 14. For details,

*** To quote a Texas Master Gardener****

It's almost that time of year for the LBJ Wildflower Center's sale of native
plants! If you're a member, plan to go on Friday, 4/13; you'll have the
largest selection. Some of the plants go very quickly, especially trees
(Texas Redbud, Flameleaf Sumac, Mexican Plum, etc.) in one gallon
containers. You'll find grasses, shade plants, water plants, ground covers,
vines, shrubs, and trees. Plants are potted in 4", 1 gallon, 3 gallon, 5
gallon, and larger containers. One of the best values is a six pack of
mixed wildflowers. In addition to the plants sold by the Wildflower Center,
there will be seeds sold by Native American Seed Co. and plants sold by the
Native Plant Society.

P.S. If you go, take a hat. The sale is held in a parking lot, and on a
sunny day, it gets quite hot.

It might be advisable to join the Wildflower Center to get into the Members
Only Preview Sale on Friday. The membership would also be good for the Fall
Plant Sale as well as admission to the Wildflower Center at any other times.
