Default WHERE OH WHERE! can I find a Spiraea Thunbergii???????

(Pat Davis) wrote in message . com...
I live in the Richmond, VA area and cannot for the life of me find a
plain old Spiraea Thunbergii.(Green leaves, white flowers) The very
few that I am able to find (mail order and locally) are the newer
varieties with yellow leaves or pink flowers. I searched in vain last
fall for one and now have gone another planting season without one.
They are in bloom right now, and I am just frantic to find one.
PLEASE HELP!

Thanking anyone who will answer this message.

Well I FINALLY FOUND ONE!! - 3 actually. I got out my yellow pages
and started calling right down the list. I found a nursery in the H's
that had them, took off work early and bought three!. They are nice
size in 3 gal containers and in full bloom. Owner told me that this is
the first year she has seen them on an available to buy list and was
very surprised to see them. Says they have been selling very fast.
There were only three left when I got done.

Now if I could only find the Czech pitcher I have been looking for on
ebay for four years...

Thanks for your help.
