Hi Wendy

If you look at a map of Australia you will see that there is a mountain
range that runs the length of the east cost from Far North Queensland
(abbreviated FNQ) into Victoria. This range is called the Great Dividing
Range. The part of the range to the east of Melbourne is called the
Dandenong Ranges. It is a very rich area for terrestrials. Reiner
commented that the average rainfall experienced in the Dandenongs means that
the orchids should not be overly affected by the drought the rest of the
country has been having.

Hope the discussion now makes sense.

Cheers

John

Thanks John. With the exception of the previous four weeks, here in the
Dandenongs we've had almost average rainfall over summer.

Nice set Reiner. With yesterday's long overdue rain it might be a
better
season than I had hoped for. Time to start getting out into the bush

again.
