Default Acianthus amplexicaulis - Acianthus amplexicaulis.JPG [1/1]

We went for a walk at Mt Mee (Just north of Brisbane, Queensland,
Australia) yesterday looking for terrestrials. It is quite early for
most terrestrials here, but we still found 3 species in flower.

The Acianthus amplexicaulis are getting towards the end of their
flowering season, but there are quite a few still out. These tiny
orchids grow amongst the leaf litter in the rainforest. The flower is
only 3mm across and the leaf is only about 25mm long, so they are very
easy to overlook.
