I know everyone thinks toads and frogs are wonderful in the garden, but

have a problem with them on my patio and path. I am frightened I will

discourage
them from their evening conferences? There is a pond in next-door's
garden and my path is a highway for them all summer. Worse, I find them
under plants when I weed! Urgh. pamcel

I think amphibians are splendid - evolutionary relics from100s millions
of year ago and still sucessful. Toads, especially, are positively
antidiluvian.

If you walk in the garden at night, take a torch! Toads are only moving
around for a very short period in March.

If you want to keep them out, fences? Toads walk and small frogs will be
discouraged - make a fence ~6" inches high and you won't be troubled.
