Our camelia's are in full bloom, the raised bed just in front of our
picture window is full of tulips, bluebells and minature tulips. The
roses have all their leaves, the lavender and rosemary have benefitted
from the removal of last year's dead stuff and are looking vigorous.

Even the japanese maple we planted last year and thought had died is
now budding and looks like it might make it. A plant we found last
year in the shrubbery and hacked back looks like it might be
raspberries and is now flowering (unlike the raspberry canes we
planted last year - do they take a couple of years to get going?).
This is the start of my second year of owning a garden and I'm really
enjoying seeing it all come to life, just wish I could get over my
squeamishness about insects etc. Can't wait for the jasmine and
honeysuckle to get going, and my favourite rose - which has fist sized
deep burgundy blooms and flowered about 3 times last year.
