Freemontdendron california.

It took 4 browsers before I found one which would open the image.

The usual form found in this country is Fremontodendron 'California
Glory', which is a hybrid between Fremontodendron californicum and
Fremontodendron mexicanum. I'm not sure that I could reliably
distinguish the forms, and the seed of the species I've sown seems
reluctant to germinate, even after heat treatment, so my hope of
comparing them side by side seems to be in vain.
