I am due to move to a new home in the Autumn, which has your standard turf back garden. Nothing more.... Nothing less.
I plan to plant (excuse the lack of terminology. The most I have ever managed with plants etc.... is water my parents potted plants at home) the following bare minimum -
1 x Horse Chestnut Tree
1 x Oak (English)
1 x Rowhorn (red berried tree native to UK)
1 x Laburnum.
The centre area will be lawn due to children, with borders around the edge.
The garden is in the region of 10m x 6m.
I am hoping to set aside a budget of no more than £1000, and wonder if this would be reasonable in your opinion(s).
I am aware that I could spend £0 and leave as it is, or spend £1000s with Italian granite patios areas.
Many thanks for reading.
Kind regards

Your garden is not big enough to plant either
Horse Chestnut Tree or Oak and Laburnum is a toxic plant, not suitable for a garden with young children.
A rethink is required.
