There are two ways to get ride of unwanted posters, the simplest way is,
if you are using OE is to click on 'Tools' then 'Block Sender', this
action will get rid of that particular sender.

Not Tools but Message :-) Highlight the offensive post by clicking on
it before blocking it.

Correct, although the 'killfile' itself, or 'blocked senders list' is
accessed (and can be managed) via TOOLS - MESSAGE RULES.
