Default Too late to plant spuds?

bruce_phipps wrote ...
I'm a newbie veg grower. I have been busy on other garden & DIY
projects this year and was starting to think I might be too late to
plant some veg. this year (potatoes, carrots, green beans).
But might this wet period work in my favour?

What if I waited for the ground to dry out a bit and planted then?

There are potatoes that are grown late for Christmas cropping so give it a
try.
Carrots are OK, we plant successionally anyway.
Beans should still give a crop, just late.
Don't leave it much longer though.
