Near black: Daylily 'Bela Lugosi'
Just can't get the red out of the pic. You don't see it in the sun, just
black. Almost.
This year I get to sit back and watch the plants bloom after two years
and hundreds of hours (literally: every hole in this yard has to be dug
first with an axe because of the extensive thick roots of the two dead
and one living giant maples - and then with a small shovel to dig out
the cut off roots and large rocks that comprise the bulk of the 'soil'
here) putting in a completely new landscape and gardens.
