Jews and Moslems lived together for fifteen hundred years. Then the UN

???
Not arguing that there was plenty of nastiness, but it seems to me
like there's more than enough to go around, rather than attach it all
at the feet of one side. In fact, looking at the numbers kind of puts
a different slant on who's more interested chasing whom from their
land?

"Z" (not Greek are you?)

First off, you are using the word Jew where you should be using the word
Zionist. All Zionists are Jews, but not all Jews are Zionists. Some Jews
feel it isn't right to throw a man out of his house so that you can have
a house. Can you imagine Zero Mostel doing that?

Number of Arabs in Israel, before 1947: 800,000

From what I've read, 800,000 are the number of Palestinians who fled the
area designated for the Zionists.

The largest single expulsion of the war began in Lydda and Ramla July
14, 1948. 60,000 inhabitants of the two cities were forcibly expelled on
the orders of Ben-Gurion and Yitzhak Rabin.

Altogether 200,000-230,000 Palestinians left in this stage, according to
Morris ([3], p. 492). According to Historian Ilan Pappe, "In a matter of
seven (April -November 1948) months, five hundred and thirty one
villages were destroyed and eleven urban neighborhoods emptied [...] The
mass expulsion was accompanied by massacres, rape and [the] imprisonment
of men [...] in labor camps for periods [of] over a year."[9]

Number of Arabs in Israel, after 1947: 160,000

Some were too old or too sick to run.

Number of Jews in West Bank before 1947 100,000

Number of Jews in West Bank after 1947: 0

There are over 260,000 Israeli settlers living in the West Bank today
(2007), as well as around 185,000 Israeli Jews living in Israeli-annexed
East Jerusalem.

How would you feel if you were a white boy living in the black part of
town after the KKK had a lynching? You had nothin' to do with it, buuuut
it might be prudent to take a short vacation.

In any event, do these displaced Jews have the right of return? Hmmm?

What Israel is doing is (1) aggrandizing itself by conquering land
through (2) ethnic cleansing. Both of which are illegal by international
law. Ethnic cleansing is being implemented by bull dozing homes (such as
Rachel Corrie was trying to protect), up-rooting olive orchards,
installation of Israeli only roads, and constant military attacks.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Article 13.

(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence
within the borders of each state.

(2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his
own, and to return to his country.

Israel had a cease fire from Hamas until Saturday 10 June 2006 when the
Palestinian Islamist group Hamas shelved a 16-month-old truce after
Israeli attacks on Gaza killed 10 people, including women and children
on a beach outing.

A child, Huda Ghalya, wept for her parents and siblings killed by the
attack.

You forgot to mention that there were a series of rockets fired at Israel
from Gaza, before the Israeli attack on Gaza. But of course, we do not
want to hear about those things.

Are you going to continue arguing politics on this garden site? I'm sure
most people are sick of this stuff. As long as you keep putting out your
stupid attacks, I will respond, so why not just stop it now.
