This was a good deal in France up until about ten years ago. Wineries in
France pay their taxes in ethanol. When you went to the pharmacy, the
rubbing alcohol was ethanol, un-denatured ethanol. Sadly, France has
gone on this health binge and now the alcohol is de-natured. Great fun
while it lasted.
