Perseid meteors to be admired, and typically they peak just after the
11th so there should be a few around.


I've never heard of them, I'm ashamed to say. Let's hope for a fine night.

Well worth Googling for! I try to spot them every year and once or twice
it has been a wonderful display.

I have a good resident population of Hawkmoths as well, and they
occasionally fly in. (The other night a red-green carpet moth flew in
and sat for a good while by the keyboard near the light, looking very
handsome.)
