Be Safe in the Surf

Australian beaches are magic - they're clean and big and free ... but
they can also be very dangerous.

I read Shark Facts years ago after Jaws was released. A mother and her
daughter were walking a beach in Australia, sharks were beaching
themselves trying to reach them. They do this with seals as well, surf
a wave in, grab the seal and roll back out with the wave, seal in jaw.

That's behaviour some groups of killer whales have, orcas, those
adorable and majestic Free Willy beasts.
...I mean catching seals, not human.

I believe it was a tiger shark going after people walking the beach,
they were in a frenzy.

They are extremely aggressive, right up there with the Great Whites.
The tiger shark is a killing/eating machine. The killer whales are a
little more evolved. They'll play a cat and mouse game with their
prey. There was a TV series called Trials of Life that showed the
nasty side of Orcas. The drag the seal out to sea and then play soccer
with it.
