Hi All.

Just moved to a new place with a big back yard. Love to garden. Found
out that we have a zoo (Deer,Rabbits, Groundhogs, Squirels and the
occasional bird).

I really don't want to double fence my yard.

Any ideas?

We double fenced our yard (sort of). The garden is in the
middle of the back yard - the whole back yard is fenced off,
and is the area where our two big dogs spent a lot of time.
The garden itself has a little chickenwire fence (to keep
out rabbits and the dogs).

So far this has worked fine. No problems from any critters
yet.

Birds: those I like in my garden. They are my 'insect
control specialists'. The more, the merrier.

I don't grow corn - if I did, I'd cover it with floating row
cover until it sprouted so that the birds wouldn't eat the
seeds.
