I think you're probably right, Mary, there must be blight in the area.
Nobody down our allotments can grow any decent tomatoes either. I might
check out a gardening site for more info. Well, at least the cavolo

In another gardening ng (uk.rec.gardening) there have been reports of
widespread blight. It's just not universal and our locality has been lucky -
as yours has. Be glad :-)
