Default dead heading in the fall

Deadhead when they don't normally fall off (flowers) as they will
generate plant hormones that stem flower production. e.g. setting seeds
so don't make more.

Ours the Peace and three reds - Fourth of July and ? brain dead ?
are in bloom now. Rain tends to generate more. [seeds again ? ]

My roses have just bloomed again and they will not bloom again this year.
Should they be dead headed if they don't have rose hips or does that promote
new growth and blooms? Any responses appreciated.
