The pots of baby catts from HD are thriving. I also noticed several of
the
pots seemed to have a tangle of catts, not just one. I carefully pried
one
pot-full apart last night and ended up with 6 baby catts. :-) The name
is
BLC Greenwich "Elmhurst" /green 6-20-05. Can someone tell me how and or
where to look this orchid up? What does BLC mean ...

Brasso-laelio-cattleya. It's a tri-generic cross involving a brassia,
a laelia and a cattleya.

Thanks. I didn't know that's what that meant. So far all of them are doing
so well on the front porch despite the abnormal heat we're still suffering
here. I haven't made up my mind to keep my orchids in the sunroom or the
new larger greenhouse.

Somewhere on line there's a list of all accepted orchid genera
names(including multi-generic hybrids) and their abbreviations.

I'll see if I can find it. I seem to be catching....... GASP! ......
orchid mania!
