Default Winter and Netting

Went out to add water, and I guess I didn't drain the hose as well as I
thought, frozen, so it is inside warming up.s ~ jan

Didn't get to the hose before DH & I left for Koi Club Xmas party. Came
home and DS and rigged it up so it will hopefully drain better now, without
any additional help from me.

I had a blast at the Xmas party. eg I made off like a bandit. We had a
REALLY good turn out, who would have thought with the weather?!!! When we
left the house the snow was coming down hard, but looking at weather.com
before we left I could tell it wasn't going to last.

I figured if the weather lowered attendance, we'd have lots of prime rib to
bring home. Well... every bit of Prime rib was eaten and lots of gifts
brought. It is a pond/garden-themed gift exchange (duh), Chinese style. Out
of 20 some names mine was drawn about 4th. I picked out a box that ended up
having 2 hooks, one of a butterfly, the other a lady bug, then a row of 4
hooks with garden hand-tools decoration on the back. Very cute. It wasn't
long and about the ~10th person stole it from me. So I picked another gift,
in a BIG gift bag. It was a solar powered light of a gnome holding a
lantern, VERY cute. ~14th person stole that, so I stole back my hooks.
Finally DH's name was drawn as one of the last and I told him to steal my
hooks, because then they'll be solid (only 3 steals) and I could go steal
back the gnome. Worked like a charm and I came home with both. eg

Once home, I filled the ponds. :-) ~ jan
