what's the best way to kill a tree. i have three more to
cut down be for they do some really bad bamge to the
nabbers. we cut one two years ago left a two foot stump to
pull out. center of the tree is deid out side of the bark i
have heave shoots coming up i've drilled put rock salt. no
luck was thinking of that bio stuff that goes in to septic
tanks. please no chemicals...that stump out in a can did
not work.... lary

what kind of trees are they? why did you leave a stump if you
weren't going to pull it out? was it rotten inside?
to get rid of the stump, cut it level with the ground. the
stump remover in a can is not an instant cure. it still takes
years to decay. the "bio stuff" for septic tanks won't do
anything for the stump.
are you getting resprouting from the roots or the stump? just
keep cutting the sprouts back. it sometimes takes a year or
two to use up the reserves of certain trees, like cottonwoods.
you just have to keep cutting the shoots off/down.
